THE GOLFSTARS LEAGUES
The golfstars programme is designed to create golfers, not simply children who attend golf lessons.
The risingstars League (RSL) and golfstars League (GSL) give young golfers regular opportunities to take what they learn in coaching onto the course, gain real playing experience, build confidence and progress through the golfstars programme.
Together, they create a pathway from a child’s first experiences on the course through to full-course, independent and eventually competitive golf.

The risingstars League and golfstars League give young golfers the opportunity to take everything they’ve been learning in their sessions and put it into practice where it matters — on the golf course.
From their first experiences on shorter courses through to full-course and handicap golf, players build confidence, record scores, celebrate achievements and work towards their next graduation.
There are scores to chase, achievements to celebrate and trophies to win, but above all:

Rather than making one huge jump from coaching sessions to traditional junior golf, children build their on-course experience progressively as their confidence and ability grow.
And along the way, their scores give them opportunities to graduate through the golfstars programme.

Where playing the game begins.
RSL gives risingstars the opportunity to experience golf on shorter, stage-appropriate courses.
Players take on nine holes, putting their coaching into practice while learning how to score, make decisions and find their way around a golf course.
As their game develops, the course and challenge develop with them.
Their RSL scores also give them opportunities to achieve the graduation criteria for their current level and continue their journey through risingstars.
Eventually comes one particularly exciting graduation:
From risingstar to golfstar.

Graduating into golfstars opens up a new golfing challenge.
GSL takes players onto full golf courses, where they continue developing their game, gain greater independence and experience another level of on-course golf.
It’s also where players receive their first GSL handicap and begin working towards one of the biggest milestones for any developing golfer:
Their first official golf handicap.

Our developing players are introduced to scoring through a specially designed points system.
Rather than feeling the pressure of having to complete every hole in a particular number of shots, players accumulate points across their round.
It keeps the game moving, gives every player something positive to play for and helps children become comfortable with scoring as their golf develops.
As players progress from RSL into GSL, the way they experience scoring develops with them.

Players can also earn special golfstars ball marker coins as they reach selected milestones — small reminders of some very big golfing moments.
Because progress should be celebrated.

Parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters are encouraged to come along, cheer on their golfstar and enjoy the day together.
You might even find yourself on the bag as their caddy — as long as you follow the all-important golfstars Caddy Rules.
Your job is to carry the bag, offer encouragement and enjoy the walk.
Their job is to play the golf.
But we hope that family time on the course doesn’t stop when the event finishes.
The golfstars programme is designed to inspire children to play and practise in their own time, creating a brilliant opportunity for parents and family members to share the game with them.
A few holes after school. A trip to the range. Putting together. Or simply heading out for a round as a family.
As their confidence grows, you may find your role changing too — from helping them around the course to simply enjoying the chance to play alongside them.
And we’re pretty sure you’ll be proud of the progress you see — not only in the golfer they’re becoming, but in the person they’re becoming too.
