THE GOLF STARS PROGRAMME

Performance, scoring & full course golf

After successfully mastering the Par 3 course during Rising Stars, stepping onto the main golf course is a huge milestone – and one that should feel exciting, not overwhelming.

That’s why our Golfstars programme is built around a carefully structured progression system, designed to support every golfer as they grow in confidence and ability.

Golf Stars - Developing skills

Developing skills

As players develop their skills, the course evolves with them.

Through our Golfstars handicap system, tee positions are gradually lengthened in line with each player’s improving handicap, ensuring the challenge increases at the right pace every step of the way.

Achieving a first golf handicap is a proud and exciting milestone for any young golfer, marking the start of their journey into structured golf, scoring, and competition.

Progressing through a structured pathway

Players begin by receiving their first handicap and progress through a structured pathway, with the golf course gradually increasing in length as their skills and
confidence develop.

As players progress through each level, they work towards improving and maintaining their handicap, with the ultimate goal of becoming a confident, independent golfer capable of playing a full 18-hole round and achieving and sustaining a handicap of 18.

Level 5 - Bronze

9 holes played at approx 50% distance. Players establish their handicap and gain confidence on the course.

Level 7 - Gold

9 holes at full course distance, developing tactical awareness, competitive play, and stronger scoring ability.

Level 6 - Silver

9 holes played at increased distance (approx 75%), focusing on improving consistency, control, and lowering scores.

Level 8 - Black

18 holes at full course distance, preparing players for full competitive golf and tournament play.
PROGRESS

Squad pathway & competition

Following completion of the Golfstars programme, players will have achieved a handicap of 18 and developed the skills and confidence to play full 18-hole rounds.

At this stage, players are invited to join the Golfstars Playing Squad, where the focus shifts further towards performance, competition, and continued development on the course.

As players progress and their handicap reduces into single figures, they may be invited into the Elite Squad, designed for those ready to challenge themselves at a higher competitive level or even begin to pursue a career in golf.
